Leonard French, Emergence, 1974–75
Leonard French is known for his impressive large-scale public art works such as this mural, Emergence. The piece was designed specifically for the then newly-constructed Social Sciences Building and is situated on the southern wall of the courtyard. The mural consists of twelve panels depicting our relationship with the elements: earth, water, wind and fire.
