Architect Rodney Alsop employed the C. R. Caslake company of Melbourne to undertake the wrought iron work for the Hackett Memorial Buildings, which comprised double gates leading into the foyer of Winthrop Hall, handrails, balustrades and wall lanterns. Local metal craftsman Wilfred Priestner was used for subsequent wrought iron work and repairs.
